Ecommerce SEO Case Study: From 10–15 Products to a 900+ Product Online Store
This ecommerce SEO case study shows how we transformed Mebel Art In’s outdated website into a complete WooCommerce store with 900+ products, online ordering, improved usability, and a stronger foundation for Google search visibility.
A Furniture Business With More to Offer Than Its Website Showed
Mebel Art In is a furniture retailer with a large product range, but its previous website represented only a small fraction of what customers could actually find in the store. Around 10–15 products were available to view online, with limited product information and no option to place an order through the website.
The gap between the physical store and its online presence had become difficult to ignore. The business had hundreds of products to offer, but the website wasn’t giving customers a practical way to discover them before visiting in person.
Customers were already feeling that gap. One of the recurring complaints was simple: they couldn’t see the products online before coming to the store.
At the same time, the outdated design, difficult navigation, and poorly structured product pages made the existing catalog harder to browse than it needed to be.
Mebel Art In didn’t just need a visual refresh. It needed to turn a limited website into an ecommerce experience that could properly represent the scale of the business.

We hired Matox Digital Agency to redesign our furniture store's website and it's a reel difference. Our old site looked outdated and people weren't buying from it. Matox rebuilt it and it looks so much more professional now, within a couple of months we started noticing more people actually completing purchases online. They also took over our Facebook and Instagram and started running ads for us, and we've seen a steady increase in people reaching out and engaging with our posts. They were easy to work with and actually understood what our business needed, not just making things look nice. I definitely recommend them.

What We Were Working With: A Website That No Longer Matched the Business
Mebel Art In had already grown far beyond what its website represented. While the business offered hundreds of furniture products, the website showed only around 10–15, leaving most of the catalog completely unavailable to customers browsing online.
The problem went beyond the number of products. The design had become outdated, navigation wasn’t intuitive, and individual product pages provided too little information to help customers properly explore their options. There was also no way to order online.
That disconnect was becoming a real customer problem. People wanted to see what Mebel Art In offered before making the trip to the physical store, but the website couldn’t give them that experience. Customers were actively complaining that they couldn’t browse the products online before visiting.
The goal wasn’t simply to make the existing website look newer. Mebel Art In needed an online presence capable of representing the actual scale of its product range and making that range genuinely useful to customers.
Taking 900+ Products Online Without Making the Store Harder to Use
Expanding the website from around 10–15 products to more than 900 created a very different challenge from a typical website redesign. Adding the products was only one part of the work. Each one needed to be properly presented with its information, images, options, and color swatches while still fitting into a store that customers could navigate without feeling overwhelmed.
With a catalog this large, the ecommerce user experience became especially important. Customers needed to be able to move through the store, explore different products, understand their options, and reach the information they needed without the size of the catalog getting in the way.
There was a technical challenge too. A WooCommerce store with 900+ products, product data, images, variations, and additional functionality places very different demands on a website than a small catalog. We needed to build the new experience without allowing that additional scale to turn into a slow or difficult-to-manage store.
The challenge was bigger than simply putting hundreds of products online. We needed an ecommerce website that could handle the size of Mebel Art In’s catalog while remaining fast, organized, and easy for customers to use.
Our Ecommerce Website Development Approach
Rebuilding the Store With WordPress and WooCommerce
We approached the project as a complete rebuild rather than trying to work around the limitations of the old website. Using WordPress, WooCommerce, and WoodMart, we created the new store around the needs of a much larger product catalog and customized the experience to fit Mebel Art In’s products and customers.
The WordPress ecommerce development process included adding more than 900 products from scratch, along with their product information, images, available options, and color swatches. This gave Mebel Art In a complete online catalog instead of a website showing only a small selection of what was actually available.
Improving Ecommerce UX and Navigation
Moving from a handful of products to more than 900 meant the ecommerce UX had to be considered around scale. We reorganized the browsing experience so customers could move through a much larger catalog more easily and discover products without the navigation becoming another obstacle.
The new ecommerce navigation and website structure were built to make browsing feel simpler despite the amount of content now available. Instead of customers needing to visit the physical store just to understand what Mebel Art In offered, they could explore the range directly through the website.
Creating More Useful Ecommerce Product Pages
The previous product pages gave customers very little information. As part of the redesign, we created more complete product experiences with clearer information, product imagery, available options, and color swatches where relevant.
The ecommerce product page design needed to do more than display a product. It had to give customers enough information to explore their options online and make the website genuinely useful before deciding whether to order or visit the store.

Ecommerce SEO Optimization for the Macedonian Market
With hundreds of new products becoming available online, search visibility also became an important part of the rebuild. We carried out ecommerce SEO optimization with the Macedonian search market in mind, improving on-page elements across the website rather than treating SEO as something to add after launch.
Our ecommerce on-page SEO work included optimizing heading structures, strengthening internal linking, improving image optimization, and making individual pages easier for search engines to understand. Combined with the much larger product footprint, this gave Mebel Art In significantly more useful content and products that could be discovered through Google.
WooCommerce Performance Optimization at Scale
A catalog of more than 900 products also meant performance couldn’t be an afterthought. More products, images, product data, options, and ecommerce functionality all added additional weight that had to be managed carefully.
WooCommerce performance optimization was therefore part of the development process, with the site optimized to handle the larger catalog while keeping the shopping experience responsive and practical for everyday use.
Introducing Online Ordering
The final piece was turning the website from a product showcase into a store customers could actually use. WooCommerce introduced online ordering, allowing customers to browse the catalog, explore their options, and place an order directly through the website.
For Mebel Art In, this addressed one of the biggest limitations of the old site: the website was no longer just showing a small sample of the business. It became a functional ecommerce channel built around the full product range.
Customers Can't Buy Products They Can't Find.
If your store has hundreds of products but your website only shows a fraction of them, customers may never discover what you actually sell. We build ecommerce websites that make large catalogs easier to browse, easier to manage, and easier to buy from.
From a Limited Website to 900+ Products and Growing Google Traffic
The difference after the rebuild went far beyond the appearance of the website. Mebel Art In went from showing only around 10–15 products online to giving customers access to more than 900, with detailed product information, easier navigation, and the ability to place orders directly through the website.
Search visibility grew alongside the new ecommerce presence. Before the rebuild, the website was receiving approximately 1,000–1,200 monthly visits from Google. It now receives around 4,500–6,000 monthly Google visits, based on the website’s WordPress traffic data.
This ecommerce SEO case study wasn’t the result of one isolated SEO change. The website was completely rebuilt, hundreds of product pages were added, the site’s structure and internal linking were improved, images and on-page elements were optimized, and the overall ecommerce experience became substantially more useful to both customers and search engines.
Most importantly, the website now represents the scale of the actual business. Customers can explore the product range before visiting the physical store, find more information about individual products, and order online instead of relying entirely on an in-store visit.
