A Real Platform Among Our Web Application Examples
Among our web application examples, Enable Good demonstrates a different side of our development work: turning an existing product design into a functional React application where two types of organizations can create accounts, share content, and connect with each other.
Enable Good is a custom platform designed to bring NGOs and companies into the same digital environment. Users choose their account type when joining the platform and, once inside, interact through an experience inspired by familiar social platforms, including posting content and connecting with other organizations.
Our role focused entirely on development. Working from the provided design, we built the application using React and Firebase, implementing the interface and functionality required to turn the concept into a working beta web application.
Connecting NGOs and Companies in One Digital Platform
Enable Good is built around a simple idea: create a shared online space where NGOs and companies can discover and connect with each other.
Rather than operating as a traditional company website, the platform is structured around its users. Organizations create accounts based on whether they are joining as an NGO or a company, then enter an application environment where they can publish posts and interact with other organizations.
This social-platform-style structure makes Enable Good fundamentally different from the marketing websites in our portfolio. The product depends on authenticated users, dynamic content, account-specific experiences, and interactions that continue after someone logs in.
Turning a Product Design Into a Working React Application
With the interface already designed, our challenge wasn’t deciding how Enable Good should look. It was translating that design into a functioning application while building the interactions and application logic behind the experience.
Unlike a standard website where most visitors see the same static content, Enable Good needed to respond to its users. People had to be able to create accounts, identify themselves as either an NGO or a company, log into the platform, publish content, and interact within an application-style environment.
That meant the development had to bring together the visible interface with authentication, user data, dynamic content, and the functionality required for different organizations to participate in the platform.
React and Firebase Development Behind Enable Good
We developed Enable Good using React and Firebase, turning the provided interface into an interactive web application and building the functionality required for users to participate in the platform.
React powers the application experience on the front end, while Firebase supports important functionality behind the platform, including authentication and application data. Users can create an account, select whether they represent an NGO or a company, log in, and enter the platform’s social-style environment.
Inside the application, organizations can publish posts and connect with each other rather than simply consuming static website content. Building around these interactions required a different development approach from a conventional marketing website, with the interface responding to authenticated users and changing application data.
Enable Good is currently in beta, providing a working foundation that can continue to evolve as the platform is tested and expanded.
From Static Design to a Functional Beta Platform
The result is a functioning beta application that brings the original Enable Good concept into an interactive digital environment.
NGOs and companies can create their respective accounts, access the platform, publish content, and begin connecting through an experience that behaves more like a social application than a traditional website.
